Period Product Drive Ends

Event Description

The number of families in the USA needing assistance from food pantries continues to increase every year. The lack of access to menstrual health products for people who are either homeless or low-income is appalling. These necessary products are not covered by SNAP or any other welfare program. Each month, this leaves countless people without the products many of us take for granted.

How You Can Help

Between May 1-31, 2018, we are requesting donations of unopened menstrual products for the Kennett Food Cupboard, which is in great need of these items all year long. (You may recall seeing menstrual products listed on our Blog post about the “10 Things Food Banks Need But Don’t Ask For”…).

We are collecting all kinds of products:

• reusable and disposable pads
• tampons
• menstrual cups
• pantyliners

The first ten generous donors will receive a free cloth pantyliner from our friends at GladRags!

Last year, thanks to your help, we collected more than 2,000 unused pads, tampons, and other menstrual products! Read more about last year’s successful campaign on our Blog. Thank you in advance!
