Groceries

Harvest Market is a grocery store—albeit one that specializes in organic, non-GMO and locally produced foods to the best of our sourcing ability. Grocery, then is a funny category. Grocery items tend to be produced in factories from multiple ingredients. Boxed cereals, canned soups, frozen pizzas and jarred pasta sauces are some of the foods commonly thought of as “grocery”.
Our product standards are what set Harvest Market apart from a typical grocery store. When we look at bringing in a new product we first make sure it is free of a long list of artificial colors, flavors, preservatives and otherwise completely unnecessary chemicals. Then, we make sure that it contains no ingredients that are at-risk for GMO contamination unless they are certified organic or the product has been verified by the Non-GMO project. (Currently ingredients at-risk for being genetically modified are corn, soy, canola, alfalfa, sugar beets, zucchinis and yellow squash.) view more
