Save Bristol Bay!

Fisherman Steve

An important message from our fishing family at Wild for Salmon – help them Save Bristol Bay!

There is an exhilaration unknown to many–that is the first set of the commercial salmon season.  A vibrant buzz has been filling the air as many fishermen return to the boatyard, assessing how the harsh Alaska winter has treated their summer home, their baby, their boat.

Our boat, Ava Jane got her 5th taste of the Bristol Bay watershed on June 18th. The first few salmon rolled into the boat bright and shiny–showing signs of life lived out in the open ocean.

Needless to say, July is an exciting month for us on all fronts. Between Steve fishing the Bristol Bay, market season reaching it’s seasonal apex, and our annual Fishtival event coming up in August, we’re all hands on deck this time of year.

To make it all happen, we work hard as a team. We make a great crew, but could use a few more mates! Want to join our staff? Or know of someone who might be a good fit? We’re currently seeking to hire 2 new employees that are enthusiastic about the industry and make great team players. Click here to learn more about each of these positions! Please share with family & friends!

Even in the thick of the Summer hustle & bustle we still find the time to fight for the protection of our industry’s livelihood. We’re not the type to push politics or ask for handouts, but we are the type to protect the environment and protect honest, sustainable fisheries like our own. We kindly ask you to help us fight for the protection of Bristol Bay.

Bristol Bay, where our story began and where we return to every year since then, is in danger due to potential approval of the Pebble Mine.

We hope you’re enjoying the Summer season & putting those grills to good use with our delectable, premium products. Thank you for being such supportive, loyal customers to our family and team.

From the bottom of our hearts & the bottom of the Bay,

Steven, Jenn & The Wild for Salmon Crew
